1. Will a new boiler fit on to my existing heating system?

Before any boiler installation, we always make sure the appliance fits your needs, and the needs of your heating system. In addition to this, during a boiler swap the water in your heating system is flushed out and dosed with a chemical to keep it clean and heating your radiators efficiently.

2. Why should I use a local, licensed plumber?

As a local company established over 30 years, we have been able to continue trading through our reputation in the local community of Macclesfield and the wider areas of Cheshire. It is in our best interests to put our customers first, as this allows us to continue providing a great service.

3. What areas of work do you cover?

We are primarily domestic plumbing and heating engineers, specializing in Gas fired Central Heating. We work in all aspects of domestic settings from ground up new builds to fully finished, occupied homes, rented or privately owned. We also cover light commercial plumbing, heating and gas services.

4. My boiler stopped working last winter due to a frozen condensate pipe. How can I avoid this in the future?

If your condensate pipe is installed on the outside of the house, it needs to be properly insulated to avoid freezing. If possible, the condensate pipe is best routed inside the house so if freezing is a recurring problem, you can have one of our engineers come out to investigate the possibility of an internal solution. There are also products available to electrically heat your condensate pipe to deter cold weather.

5. My boiler pressure drops, and I have to top it up regularly. Why is this?

Dropping pressure on a heating system can be indicative of several issues, the most likely of which is a small leak somewhere. Although not an immediate problem, topping up a boiler constantly can eventually lead to radiator corrosion and even boiler failure. Have one of our engineers check it out!
